"Workin' Hard"

Today was my turn to clean the local shrine, the ujigami.

The area was overgrown with grass and there were so many bugs, so I sprayed on bug repellent and performed my duties.

Only seven of the 12 neighborhood families participated, which was a good turnout this time.

It was hard for the elderly to come out, and the few young people there were weren't interested.

Sometimes it was just three.

I wonder what will happen next.

I was wearing a "WORKIN' HARD apron" and looked like a professional, so I did my best.

I felt like someone was watching me from up high.

I remembered Fujii Kaze from the North Sea Jazz Festival yesterday, and I think I did a good job of cleaning up the mess with the broom.

Thanks, KAZE.
