藤井風さんのサイン会に行く予定だった昨日、仕事を休みにしてたので、レコード”Prema"を持って友人の家に行ってきた。
レコードプレーヤーシステムを備えたその家は、フタを外したピアノもあって、常に音楽が奏でられている。
彼のレコードコレクションはたぶん全て'70~'90の洋楽で、どれもジャケットに穴が開くほど聴きこまれている。
”Prema”を聴いた後、彼が私に、「こんなの好きなんじゃないか？」と言って選び出してくれたのは、ジェイムス・テイラーの ”JT”、キャロル・キングの"Tapestry”という2枚のアルバムだった。
年代や背景から、風さんのお父様が聴いていたのは間違いないと思われるものだ。
”You’ve got a friend"はデビュー前にカバーしてるし、確かにルーツ感ある。
I had planned to go to Fujii Kaze's autograph session, but I took the day off work yesterday, so I went to a friend's house with my record "Prema" in hand.
His house is equipped with a record player system, and there's also a piano with the Lid open, so music is always playing.
His record collection is probably all Western music from the '70s to '90s, and he has listened to them so much times that the album covers are worn out.
After listening to "Prema," he asked me, "I think you'd like these," and picked out two albums: James Taylor's "JT" and Carole King's "Tapestry."

Given the era and background, it was clear that KAZE's father had listened to these as well.
He even covered "You've got a friend" before his debut, and they definitely have a roots feel to him.
