Casket Girl MV

youtu.be

"Casket Girl"

Basically,

I guess it's a silly story that was typical(?) of the 70s and 80s, where a down-on-his-living rock dude goes on the run with a woman for lodging and eating without paying, and then he helps a real wanted criminal get away, only to have his car stolen and end up being the only ones caught.

The melody of "Casket Girl" takes you straight back in time, reminding you that there was nothing to be afraid of back then.

It's a shallow yet intense era, when everything was still analog and clad in shiny imitations.

It's a worldview reminiscent of films like "Scarred Angel" starring Shoken and Yutaka Mizutani, or "Yellow Handkerchief of Happiness" starring Ken Takakura, Tetsuya Takeda, and Kaori Momoi, when noboby said about compliance or anything.

What do you mean it's cool to do this now?

Seriously, Fujii Kaze, how many times have you been through life?

The punchline is the shot of him cleaning up at the end, so it's typical of him that it has a happy ending!
