今になって言うのもどうかと思うけど、一昨年の日産スタジアム、”Feelin’ Good"で、風さんが照明の落ちた屋上のピアノで湘南乃風”恋時雨”を弾き語りしたとき、ほんとにドキッとした。
「ここで新曲ぅ？」と思ったのは一瞬で、カバーだと気づいた後も、風さんの情感たっぷりの歌いっぷりに、その思い入れぶりが知れて、ドキッとしたのだ。
湘南乃風といえば、里庄の風少年が小学生のころからメジャーで活躍してJ-POP界にレゲエを浸透させた代表的グループだ。
小学生のころからYahooアカウントを持ちYouTube投稿もしていたというマセた風少年といえども、恋心も未経験でこの歌が染み入るほど、達観していたとは思えない。
藤井風さんの切ない想いが重なっているのかと推測せずにいられない。
I know it's a bit late to say this, but two years ago at Nissan Stadium's "Feelin' Good" concert, KAZE played and sang Shonan no Kaze's "Koi Shigure" on the dimly lit piano on the rooftop, and it really took my breath away.
For a moment I thought, "A new song here?" And even after I realized it was a cover, I was still taken aback by KAZE's emotional delivery, and the passion he showed in the song.
Speaking of Shonan no Kaze, they are a representative group which was active in the majors and helped to introduce reggae to the J-pop world since a boy, KAZE, from Satosho town in his elementary school.
Even though KAZE was a precocious boy who had a Yahoo account and posted videos on YouTube since he was in elementary school, I don't think he was philosophical enough to have had no experience of love and to have been able to resonate with this song so deeply.
I can't help but speculate that Fujii Kaze's feeling of longing are echoed in this song.
