昨日の我が家のトイレの日めくりカレンダーに書いてあった言葉。
曹洞宗の開祖・道元禅師の『永平広録』の言葉だそうだ。
"We should accspt ourselves as we are with eyes aligned horizontally and noses vertically"
と訳されていた。
一昨日発表された藤井風さんのコーチェラ2026バンドメンバーの布陣を見て、私が感じた共通点は、つまり、そういうことだ。
風さんを筆頭に、執着から解放され、あるがままの事実を認めて、飾らぬに生きていこうとしている人たちなんじゃないかなぁ、と。
