ガーベラというと、以前は、エリザベスカラーを装着したワンコを連想した。
自分の傷を舐めたり噛んだりしないように犬猫の首に巻くプラスチックの治療用装具。
それと同じような養生材をつけたガーベラを、花屋の店先で見たことがあったからだ。
デリケートな花のイメージがあったけれど、我が家のガーベラは、とても生命力が強くて、特にメンテナンスもしないのに冬の寒さにも耐え、毎年綺麗に咲いてくれる。
長い茎が思ったより丈夫で、可憐にしてたくましい。
切り花にしても、案外長持ちする。
”いちばんすきな花”美鳥ちゃんの一番好きな花だ。
色を合わせて他の花と一緒に生けても存在感あるし、一輪でも様になる。
でも本当は、地植えで”風”に揺れている姿が一番きれいだ。
