What word becomes shorter when you  add two letters to it?"

Pants”!

The other day, after the 7th episode of "Ichibannsukina Hana" aired, I wrote an episode about "answer matching".

This happened when I went on a trip sponsored by an English conversation class.

One of the English riddle assignments my teacher gave me was"What word becomes shorter when you add two letters to it?"

"What is a word that becomes shorter when two letters are added?" So, after a lot of thinking, I had an idea.

The answer I came up with was “Pants”!

Add “ie” after “t” and you get “Panties”!

Panties are much shorter than pants.

This is the only option!?

However, the teacher's correct answer was "Short" (>"Shorter").

The lesson is that it's much more fun to think for myself than to be told the correct answer.

In the end, both the person asking the question and the person searching for the answer do for self-satisfaction, right?

Isn't it correct answer to accept it each other?

I'm sure Fujii Kaze would nod.
