仏の道は険しい。
別に仏門に入ったわけじゃないけど、心がけている指針だ。
藤井風さんが主題歌を歌う映画、”四月になれば彼女は”の原作者；川村元気さんの初めての著書、「世界から猫が消えたなら」を読んだ。
今から12年も前にLINEで連載された小説らしい。
人間が作り出したもの、無くてもいいもの、無いほうが良かったかもしれないものについて、考えさせられる。
自分個人を基準に物事の真価を問うには、何が必要だろうか？
まず、自分を知ることだ。
そして愛すること。
それができて初めて、他者をも愛し尊ぶことができるようになる。
キリスト教にルーツを持つ川村元気さんの作品に触れると、なぜか、仏の教えが思い浮かぶ。

I'm not particularly a member of Buddhism, but these are the guidelines I keep in mind.
I read Genki Kawamura's first book, "If Cats Disappeared from the World," the original author of the movie "April Come, She Will,'' for which Fujii Kaze sings the theme song.
Apparently it's a novel that was serialized on LINE 12 years ago.
It makes me think about things that humans have created, things that can be done without, and things that could be better without.
What does it take to question the true value of things based on one's own individual standards?
First, know yourself.
And to love yourself.
Only when you can do that will you be able to love and respect others as well.
For some reason, when I touch the works of Genki Kawamura, who has roots in Christianity, I think of the teachings of Buddhism.
