梅雨が明けて、いよいよ夏本番だ。
夏と言えば、日産スタジアムライブ"Feelin' Good"だけど、これは未来。
藤井風さんの歌に季節感を探してみた。
すると、あらためて、彼の音楽の特徴に気がつく。
ポップソングは、たいてい季節を特定させて、その特定の出来事・風情を際立たせる傾向がある。
それは、長く聴かれる歌ほど顕著で、ヒットのための常套手段とも言える。
特に日本では、四季がはっきりしてるから、毎年やってくるイベントや俳句の季語のような表現は有効だ。
日本人は、季節感が好きなのだ。
ところが、風さんの歌に特定の季節はない。
むしろ、ひとつの曲の中に、四季全てが描かれてしまうから、季節を選ばせない。
春夏秋冬どころか古今東西・老若男女に通じる摂理とか条理というべきもの。
つまり「祈り」である。
桁違いなワケだ。

I tried to find a sense of the season in Fujii Kaze's songs.
In doing so, I noticed a characteristic of his songs.
Many pop songs tend to specify a season and emphasize a specific event or atmosphere.
The longer a song is listened to, the more this becomes evident, and it can be said to be a common technique for creating hits.
In particular, Japan has four distinct seasons, so expressions such as annual events and seasonal words in haiku are effective.
Japanese people like a sense of the seasons.
However, Kaze's songs do not have a specific season.
Rather, one song depicts all four seasons, so it is impossible to choose a season.
It is a law and logic that applies not only to spring, summer, autumn, and winter, but to people of all ages and genders, past and present.
In other words, it is "prayer."
It is on a completely different level.
