MUSIC SPECIAL

I watched Hikaru Utada on NHK MUSIC SPECIAL last night.

Even if she looked mature when she was 15, she looks almost the same 25 years later.

I was amazed at how young she looked as if she had traveled back in time!

But that's not the only thing that's surprising.

She has an open-minded way of thinking about age, gender, fate, and the value of things.

This seems to be the source of her strength to accept reality and, at the same time, her strength to move forward.

She acknowledges her roots with gratitude, draws on her experiences but does not rely on them, and respects not only others but also matter.

I heard she loves food left by others.

Isn't that the same as Fujii Kaze?

It's supposed that what the two have in common is not only their musical talent, but also "affirming things as they are and not criticizing them."
